Built from the weapon's real sound layers, each following the volume, filter and dropout curve the game authors for it, plus one synthesized echo tail taken from the game's own outdoor reverb settings (decay 6 s, predelay 50 ms). Where a trait swaps in a different reload animation, the seconds come from that animation's own recorded length rather than from any weapon stat. A longer start is not always worse: on a clip-fed rifle the expedited animation takes longer to begin and then loads several rounds at once.

A crouched-spread multiplier of 1 means crouching stops steadying the weapon at all while that mode is active.
